Promotion
Advocacy and lobbying as well as publicizing and publishing are among ÇEKÜL’s major activities as means to provide guidance and support to the conservation community and local administrations for protecting environmental and cultural resources. Within this scope, ÇEKÜL has prepared and archived a significant number of documentaries on Anatolian cities; has gathered written and visual archives from urban and rural local areas; has published issue-based brochures, booklets and books; has promoted the cultural and environmental efforts of volunteers and institutions in Anatolian cities to the general public through the internet, newsletters and the Foundation’s Anatolian Research, Documentation and Information Center and Library on a regular basis.
ÇEKÜL holds several memberships in international organizations, namely as national coordinator of international activities for the Earth Day; member of ‘European Union - NGO Dialogue’ formed by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe; member of European Environmental Bureau (EEB); member of Europa Nostra and member of European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centers (ENCATC).
